Community Demographics

The City of Avenal is an ethnically and culturally diverse city located within the Heart of California. Although the discovery of petroleum oil and gas established the small community of Avenal in 1929, the city's main commerce is the agriculture that has sustained the community. In 1979, the City of Avenal was incorporated as a City of the County of Kings and has remain one of the main municipalities for the County.

The residents and community members are hardworking and very family-oriented. With Family-owned Businesses to Farm Labor Seasonal workers, the City has a vas variety of background and history.
